Opening Reception – Vine Arts Center Exhibition – Nov 15, 2014

Within from Without show images

* Opening Reception: Saturday, November 15, 6:00 – 9:00 pm *

The work of these two Minnesota artists simultaneously mimics and contrasts their own unique styles and vision. The inspiration for Mieko Yamazaki’s oil paintings generates from within and is manifest in her rich and enigmatic paintings. Jack Mader, being a photographer, derives inspiration through the physical world from without. Together they explore the nature of creativity and the roots of inspiration.

The exhibition runs from November 15 to December 6, 2014.

Closing activities during the Seward Winter Frolic, Saturday December 6, 1-5 pm:
Artist discussions and hands-on activities: make your own abstract painted bookmarks and try some ice photography. Stop in on your rounds of other art and artist studios during the Seward Winter Frolic.

Both the opening reception and closing events are free and open to the public.
