Annual Member Show at Ivy Arts

Opening Reception September 8, 2018 6-9 PM , Vine Arts Center/Ivy Arts Building,
2637 27th Ave S. Minneapolis, MN 55406

The Vine Arts Center in the Ivy Building for The Arts celebrates the work of artists with the member show opening on September 8 where many artists will pull back the curtain to show how their art is made. Artists will demonstrate their techniques and talk about why and how they do what they do.

Vine Arts Center has chosen “Get Behind The Work” as the theme for the annual Member show in keeping with the history of the Ivy Building; former home to Flour City Ornamental Iron Works. Nominated in 1984 for the National Registry of Historic Places, the site is famous for the labor strike of 1935.

October 6, the center will host a ‘Meet the Artist’ event – your chance to talk to VAC artists and find out more about what they do, why they do it, and how they do it. Don’t miss it!!
