Artist Bio:
My paintings channel the awe-inspiring beauty of nature and reflect my love of deep, rich hues…and the way light plays on an image to create color and shadow. I want to take a fleeting image, created by a unique combination of light, shadow, and color and hold it on a canvas.
I have painted and drawn the things in my world since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I began painting with watercolor in 2004 and have experimented with water-soluble oils and acrylics. I enjoy the qualities of all paint mediums, but continue to return to my first love, watercolor, for its transparency and the way it responds to multiple layering of color, creating the deep, rich hues I look for.
