Last year’s Seward Spread Joy Fund winner will be performing at the Winter Frolic Kick-off on Friday Dec. 1 at the Playwright’s Center.
2017 has been an incredibly active year for the hip hop artist and activist. From fighting the Dakota Access Pipeline at Standing Rock, to speaking at panels and doing several hip hop tours around the world, he is ready with another project called Self Care.
This five song EP, that he mostly produced himself, takes you through the different phases of his necessary healing. Self Care is a culmination of themes centered around friendship, self medication, spirituality, balance and resistance. A vulnerable cry to heal the wounds acquired through his lived experiences as an indigenous man in the fight for Mother Earth and his people.
