Northern Clay Center’s 7th Annual Chilli Cook-off, Thur. 2/5!

chili_icon_prf3The Northern Clay Center is at again! Thursday they’re holding their popular ANNUAL chilli cook-off! Here’s what you need to know:

Their fabulous guest chili judges this year are:

Nick Pechacek, Amazing Kitchen Volunteer at APF two years running, professional chef, and 2014 People’s Choice Award Winner.

Zoie Glass, Master Jam Maker at Lucille’s Kitchen Garden, Co-Owner of Midwest Pantry.​

  • Talk with the Featured Artists, Bill Gossman, Bianka Groves, and Karin Kraemer in the sales gallery
  • Compete in our Chili Cook-off (we take only 25 entrants, sign up early!)
  • Vote for your favorite chili and pick up a new chili bowl from our sales gallery
  • Enjoy chili from your clay slinging buddies, a cider from Sociable Cider Werks, cornbread from Longfellow Grill, and dessert from Birchwood Cafe.

4 – 6 pm   Free Workshop — Make your own chili bowl with friends or your favorite kid

5 pm        Get Fired up with a Kiln Room Tour 

6 – 8 pm   Chili Cook-off

Deb holds an M.A. in Arts and Cultural Management from Saint Mary’s University, and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota where she majored in theater. Based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Deb has 12 years of experience working in the nonprofit arts sector, working with Twin Cities cultural gems such as The Cedar Cultural Center, the Midtown Global Market, In the Heart of the Beast Puppetry and Mask Theatre, and more. She’s primarily drawn towards work that involves relationship building, such as communications and fundraising. Deb also has two decades of experience as an events manager for live music, theater, and dance. Her work as a stage manager has brought her into intimate collaborations with diverse communities, artists from around the globe, and projects ranging from river boat ballets to burlesque holiday shows.
